Must See Location 2: Illuminated River
The Illuminated River spans 14 of London’s iconic bridges, which come to life at night with thousands of LED lights. See Westminster Bridge lit in green hues, marvel at pulses of light on the Millennium Bridge or spot saturated colours inspired by impressionist paintings on Southwark Bridge. The Illuminated River Foundation is an independent charity set up to lead and fundraise for the project to light up to 14 of central London’s bridges , the river is a longterm public art installation.
Must See Location 3: Summer Exhibition 2021 at the Royal Academy of Arts
Taking place since 1769, the Royal Academy of Arts’ famous Summer Exhibition brings together artwork in all its forms from big names and emerging stars. You can view works by incredible artists or treat yourself to your very own artwork to take home, all based around the Summer Exhibition 2021 theme Reclaiming Magic. Across the Main Galleries, you can peruse prints, paintings, photography and film, as well as sculpture, architectural works and more. You can even take one home as most of the work is for sale with proceeds supporting both the exhibiting artist and the RA’s charitable activities.
